Course details.

1 day course - Contact me for available dates.

Starting at 9am and finishing around 6pm with the option to stay later for sundown swims through kelp on my beautiful local reef.
The morning will be an introduction to freediving covering:
Equipment
Freediving disciplines explained
Physiology
Breathing exercises
Basic rescue and the buddy system
Equalisation
Stretching for freediving

I aim to focus on all the fundamentals of safe freediving and for the day to be a platform for someone to then go on and practice diving with an informed view of how to take their training forward.

Then in the afternoon we go to the water.
You will try
Static breatholds
Dynamic
Duck diving technique
Safe diving practises

There are no performance requirements as this is not a tick box kind of a course. More an opportunity to learn in an unpressured environment.

Course Costs £150 per person

*Participants must bring their own equipment inclusive of 7mm wetsuit (freediving suit much better than normal wetsuit. See Cressi apnea suits for a cheap off the shelf suit, or polo sub wetsuits). A 5mm suit will just about provide enough warmth if you also have a vest and hood under the suit.
Fins, socks, gloves, freediving mask (low volume - see aqualung sphera for a good example) mask, snorkel (see cressi Corsica snorkel)

Max people to one course = 4
