CAREER HISTORY
RIVER ISLAND: JULY 2011 - PRESENT
I run the CAD team, co-ordinating and translating the design for all shopfits.
JACK WILLS: Sept 2010 - JULY 2011.
I was part of the small, in house store design team managing projects from conception to completion. I completed several stores, notably Fouberts place, Birmingham new st, Manchester (Aubin and Wills). As Jack Wills likes to use listed and heritage buildings I negotiated complex planning situations and building control issues. I am used to an extremely fast paced turn around for projects benifitted greatly from the creative process of working closely with the visual merchandising team.
FUSION DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE: June 2010 - SEPT 2010
I had a few months of freelance work at this busy design practice. My main project was a Fishworks restaurant which is part of the new Central St Giles Renzo Piano development. I produced and co-ordinated the drawing package and dealt with client/landlord issues throughout the project.
SUCK UK LTD : July 2009 -June 2010
I was employed to design and build the flagship store for Suck Uk in the Iconic Oxo Tower. The brief was to create an industrial, minimal space to give the design products room to shine. There was also wayfinding issues to solve and landlord restrictions to circumnavigate. The job was truly hands on as the budget was minimal. Turnaround from the start of strip out to completion was achieved in 2 weeks.

My time with W1 saw me working on a wide variety of projects. notably airside Leisure lounges for Virgin Holidays and Virgin Atlantic; high end residential properties in Mayfair and retail projects for Office shoes and their sister brand Offspring. The Virgin Holidays lounge was a fantastic opportunity to work on an airside project and gain the experience of working with BAA. Myself and a collaegue designed the lounge from concept to completion and produced every aspect of the job. The 7340ft squared 'VRoom' can accomodate over 200 people. The site comprises a number of carefully integrated areas including a quiet room, a cafe, a family space, a tech zone and an adults area. Throughout the space quirky design features innovative graphics and 3D installations engage the holiday maker.
I worked on a number of outlets for Office Shoes in the 2008 new concept rollout. Most notably the Spitalfields branch.
GREIG & STEPHENSON : Jan 2006 - Oct 2007 - Designer / Interior Architect
I ran several projects in the retail, commercial and leisure sectors. I was responsible for the complete refurbishment of Magdalen restaurant, Tooley St, which opened in Jan 07. I dealt with several delicate planning, building control and other utilities related issues throuhout the project.
I founded a relationship with the catering company Searcys. Pitching 3 high profile jobs for them, for the National Gallery Cafe, The Globe Theatre and The Law Society.
